Fuse

Description

Second album in a series of Cranes archives, Fuse was recorded in Portsmouth, their hometown, by siblings Alison and Jim Shaw. Initially released in 1986 on cassette, it came out on the Bite Back! label. Limited to just 200 copies initially, this album, with its distinctive purple sleeve, has seen strong demand from fans over the years, often trading for over 100 pounds. FUSE presents a leaner, darker, and more industrial post-punk sound. From the hypnotic appeal and rhythmic intensity of the title track to the fierce and provocative rhythms of Wrench, the songs are just as captivating as Cranes' later critically acclaimed albums.
