A few albums, tours, a live album to commemorate it all, collaborations with Dimitri from Paris and Di Melo, line-up changes, a split and even a reunion...: a lot can happen in fifteen years in the life of a band. Fifteen years, that's how long Cotonete will have spent making their mark on bars, venues and festivals. Walls cracked by absolute jazz-funk grooves, stages scorched by an incandescent brass section, humidity fueled by Brazilian sultriness – no shirt made it out unscathed. Happy away from studios, but convinced by recent successful maxi and EP experiences, Cotonete has now chosen to tackle the album format head-on. Their first album, fifteen years after their debut. "With the influence of 70s jazz-funk as fuel, Super Vilains unspools a reel of imaginary films, heavily brassy, illuminated by a constellation of black and white keys.
