Inedit
Description
In 1977, it was love at first sight when Mireille and Alain Mion (half of Cortex) bought a long 18th-century farmhouse in a remote hamlet in Seine-et-Marne called Noisement. The barn, with its majestic exposed centuries-old beams, became an original recording studio where Alain Gandolfi (the other half of Cortex) settled behind the console.Freed from any contractual obligations, between advertising commissions, a regular jazz program on an FM station of Radio France, and the recording of jingles as well as a few albums by neighboring musicians such as Siegfried Kessler, Rosalie Dubois, and Claude Giacomi, Cortex recorded about twenty tracks there. Remaining unreleased long after the band split up in 1981, these tracks were fortunately rediscovered 25 years later, when Alain Mion decided to reform Cortex. The first edition of the album INEDITS 79, released in 2006, was limited to a small number of copies... until its rediscovery and the use of a sample from the track I Heard a Sigh in Amnésie by Damso. This sample became legendary and was later used in the United States by Raekwon and Masta Killa of the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as by Blockhead, Sopico, etc.Buy Inedit at the best price
