Description

Consolidated is an American collective formed in San Francisco in 1988. They were distinguished by their left-wing political activism and politically radical lyrics, as well as their innovative sound collages that mixed industrial, hip-hop, hard rock, and funk. Their music often focused on vegetarianism, women's rights, animal rights, anti-racism and anti-homophobia, the unity of oppression, World War II and the Holocaust, the dangers of capitalism, and the evils of American nationalism. Adam Sherburne, Mark Pistel, and Philip Steir embody a unique creative vision in search of the knowledge that will enable them to improve the quality of their lives and those around them.
