Originally released in 1995, this album is the band's first attempt at a conceptual ambient composition album. With a wildly taciturn elegance, almost diurnal, this album evokes a Christmas carol, but orchestrated by a psychedelic Santa Claus on heroin. Here, the snow is palpable in the middle of summer, and the music draws from the poetry of William Blake for its rigorous elegance. Remastered by Josh Bonati and supervised by Drew McDowall of COIL, this double LP is available in two colors: limited to 500 black LPs and 500 yellow LPs. Also available on CD.
