BORN AGAIN PAGANS/30TH ANNIVERSARY

Description

Infinite Fog is delighted to present a new piece of the fascinating COIL puzzle. In the mid-1990s, the original duo John Balance and Peter Christopherson continued their exploration of the outer limits of electronic sound production, as shown by the release of Born Again Pagans, originally an EP, including both the highly danceable hit “Protection,” whose Danny Hyde influence is evident, as well as the first forays into their intriguing more ambient/glitch production under the name ElpH, probably their most mesmerizing and haunted works. This new 3 LP reissue collects all the ElpH material that did not appear on their later album Worship the Glitch, namely the 10" pHILM #1, a series of rare tracks taken from compilations as well as a number of tracks unreleased at the time, in the same spirit. The beautifully presented release also includes the final appearance of the ElpH entity, originally available as part of Raster-Noton’s 20' to 2000 series, the EP Zwolf.
