After a whirlwind of tragedies, both global and personal, guitarist Mike Crain (Dead Cross, Retox, Festival Of Dead Deer), drummer Kevin Avery (Retox, Planet B), and vocalist Matt Cronk (Qui) return with new guitarist Koko Arabian and bassist Rico Adair, for a second album. After releasing their debut album in 2019, Cunts, CNTS were able to embark on a short tour before the world went into lockdown. The lockdown was spent recording and preparing for the band's future projects. However, all plans were put aside when Matt Cronk was injured in a car accident, resulting in a surgical mishap that left him with a paralyzed vocal cord, unable to speak, let alone sing. In winter 2023, against his doctors' predictions, Cronk's injured vocal cord began to heal and, within two months, his voice returned. Invigorated by Cronk's recovery and their new lineup, CNTS spent the rest of the year working hard on their new album, Thoughts & Prayers. Drawing heavily from their recent challenges, CNTS transformed several years of frustration and difficulty into a well-articulated and aggressive statement.
