After half a decade establishing itself as one of the most promising bands in Boston's underground scene, Clifford has found its groove. Inspired by local legends like Pile and Horse Jumper of Love, as well as bands carrying the torch of Heartland rock (Big Thief, Waxahatchee), Golden Caravan fuses the warm, melodic folk of Clifford's earlier recordings with the raw power of their live performances. It is a work of paradox, where harmonic return is a thing of beauty and acoustic guitars pound with brutal force. The album features the vocals of Mei Semones, Paper Lady, and Sweet Petunia. Golden Caravan is the Boston quartet's second album, and the first to be released via Sipsman (Katie von Schleicher, Krill, Animal Hospital, Truth Club, Paper Castles).
