"Gold", the fourth studio album by Cleo Sol, was released on September 29, 2023 on Forever Living Originals, just two weeks after Heaven. Produced by her regular collaborator Inflo, the ten-track album was praised for its luminous soul and assertive compositions, contrasting with the more subdued atmosphere of Heaven. Compared to the great works of Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu, Gold appeared on several year-end lists: among the best albums of 2023 for The Economist, fourth for Complex UK, and eighth best R&B album for Billboard. Cleo Sol, born Cleopatra Nikolic, thus continues a notable career between solo projects and collaborations with the collective Sault.
