After seven years of waiting, Clément Nourry returns with a new solo album, "AMOR," a true manifesto of artistic freedom. Through the eight tracks of "AMOR," Clément Nourry weaves a connection between the noise he loves and the melodies he composes on the electric guitar, his instrument of choice. Between delicate fingerpicking and electronic feedback, he creates a sound universe that is both wild and intimate, where two musical worlds meet. His guitar playing evolves in this space of tension, evoking both sweetness and chaos. Each track is recorded live without overdubs. The idea is of a simplicity rarely matched: one man, one guitar, one amp, one take. Once the performances were captured by Ted Clark, Nourry took the time to mix the album himself, seeking to evoke multiple spaces through the tracks and invite listeners on a cosmic journey. "AMOR" has no predetermined concept, just like the titles and images that arise from it: they form afterward, like a house built on chosen ground. This album is also marked by deep influences, such as the soundtrack of "Paris, Texas" by Ry Cooder and that of "Dead Man" by Neil Young. "AMOR" draws from Nourry's nocturnal experience, as he composed, wrote, and mixed primarily at night. The cover, designed by artist Margot Degert, captures this atmosphere, evoking dunes and desert landscapes, a nod to Ry Cooder and memories of the desert.
