CL is a singer, performer, and versatile songwriter. Bursting onto the K-pop scene at the age of 17, she was the leader of one of the best-selling and highest-charting groups in Billboard Top 200 history, 2NE1. In 2016, with her single “Lifted,” CL became the first Korean artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and performed her solo music at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. She won the “Most Inspiring Asian Woman” award at the 45th annual People’s Choice Awards. In 2019, CL was also twice nominated for TIME magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” list. She has notably collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas, Lil Yachty, Diplo, and Skrillex. Beyond the music world, she is recognized as a fashion and style icon by many publications around the world for her influence in fashion.
