With SOFT POWER - due out in April 2023 -, this restless pianist brings creative energies together around an uninhibited jazz and promises to take us on a journey to an unheard-of and sensitive elsewhere. CD 12 tracks LP 10 tracks In this project, Christophe Imbs wanted to bring together around him jazz musicians who are not afraid to rub shoulders with the very broad aesthetics that make up his musical universe. His music can borrow the energy of a metal riff, the distortion of rock, enter an electro trance, develop a pop melody,... just as much as it can be a jazz quartet committed to acoustic sound and improvisation. The coming together of these four musicians is highly creative, so available, open and committed are they. A first trio album 'ForYourOwnGood!' released in 2018 and praised by the critics, and a quartet album with Julien Lourau in 2022, the culmination of a long artistic search nourished by the intense energy that emanates from each of them and makes the quartet project extremely stimulating.
