Remixed edition for the 50th anniversary of "Fish Out Of Water," the classic solo album by Yes founder and bassist Chris Squire. Chris Squire was a founding member of YES as well as its bassist and singer from 1969 until his passing in 2015. Recorded in late spring and during the summer of 1975, while Yes was on break for its members to record their respective solo albums, "Fish Out Of Water" is a stunning work, of a quality equal to any Yes album in terms of invention and creativity. The album is essentially a collaboration between Chris Squire and his friend Andrew Pryce Jackman, a talented arranger who had been a member of The Syn, Squire's band before the formation of Yes. The sessions also benefited from contributions by former Yes drummer Bill Bruford, Yes keyboardist Patrick Moraz, and renowned musicians Mel Collins and Jimmy Hastings. The album reached the Top 30 of the charts in the UK, and the Top 75 of the American Billboard, ultimately selling nearly 500,000 copies worldwide. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Fish Out Of Water," renowned sound engineer Stephen W Tayler has prepared a new stereo mix of this beautiful album, now presented in optimal audio quality thanks to half-speed mastering done at AIR Studios in London. The final result is both striking and revealing, and serves as a vibrant tribute to Chris Squire's creative vision. This edition fully restores the original vinyl cover and includes a printed inner sleeve as well as a poster.
