The American singer Chris Isaak is back with a thirteenth studio album, "First Comes the Night". His thirteenth album, recorded in Nashville, features love songs - as he has done so well since the sublime song that brought him to fame, "Wicked Game" - but also some surprising tracks flirting with rumba. Alongside Roy Orbison, the great singers Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, and Elvis Presley are of course influences for Chris Isaak. He even covered a few pieces by the latter on his previous album, "Beyond the Sun". On his new album, you can hear the ghost of Elvis on "Don't Break My Heart" while that of Jerry Lee Lewis appears in the astonishing piano of "Running Down the Road".
