On this new album, the artist many discovered on Canal Plus as a music columnist on Le Grand Journal sings her own compositions. They are inspired, mysterious, captivating, full of life, while remaining controlled. “A good part of the album was born in the moment,” explains Dee Dee Bridgewater’s daughter, “which is why the sound has such freshness. We wanted to make timeless music, something people would still listen to years later.
