Chicken Shack is a British blues rock band formed in 1965 by Stan Webb, Andy Silvester, and Alan Morley. Christine McVie, then known as Christine Perfect, later joined them. She left the band in 1969 to join Fleetwood Mac and was replaced by Paul Raymond, a member of UFO and the Michael Schenker Group. They signed with the legendary British blues label Blue Horizon in 1967. This album, their third studio album released in 1969, offers a nice balance between blues standards and original compositions by Stan Webb, the only permanent member of the band and still active today. It features the single "Tears In The Wind" and a cover of the folk masterpiece by Davey Graham, "Anji." "100 Ton Chicken" is available in a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies, pressed on green vinyl.
