A little under two years after her self-titled debut album (2024, Four Flies Records), Chiaré returns with "Sei," a collection of six new tracks. The Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist combines the technical mastery acquired through her jazz vocal training and classical double bass studies with the raw talent recognized by the 2023 Bianca D’Aponte award, dedicated to young Italian female singer-songwriters. For this album, Chiaré partnered with producer Pasquale Strizzi to refine a sound where folk and jazz influences now blend with electronic elements. Carried by her warm and delicate voice, the songs—performed in Italian and Neapolitan—trace a journey through love and fragility, resilience and rebirth, between her hometown of Salerno and Rome, where she lives today. They explore notions of belonging and the contemporary female condition. "Sei" also includes an intimate and stripped-down cover of Pino Daniele's "Core Fujente," highlighting its gentle and luminous melancholy.
