Nashville punk rockers Cheap Time are back with their fourth album, produced once again by frontman and guitarist Jeffrey Novak. Exit Smiles follows the same pattern as 2012's Wallpaper Music, but boasts a more precise, cleaner production and more expansive lyrics, with a blend of dance-infused art-rock and more prog-rock tracks. The band also welcomes a new bassist, Jessica MacFarland (singer of Heavy Cream), whose voice is the perfect counterpart to Novak's punk screams. "A pop-punk candor inherited from the Buzzcocks, the Ramones, and Red Kross." Noise
