Carlos Alberto García Moreno, better known by his stage name Charly García, is an Argentine singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, considered one of the most important rock musicians in Argentina and Latin America. Nicknamed "the father of national rock", he is recognized for the complexity of his compositions, which explore genres such as folk rock, progressive rock, symphonic rock, jazz, new wave and many others. His lyrics are renowned for their spirit of protest and their critique of modern Argentine society, particularly during the period of the military dictatorship, as well as for his rebellious and extravagant personality.
