Anthology

Description

This Charlie Watts "Anthology" is an affectionate retrospective and a reflection of how often Watts was able to flex his jazz muscles between Rolling Stones engagements to create a bespoke discography. As much as he was a globally appreciated hero within the world's biggest rock band, he rebuffed any compliment or comparison to his musical heroes from the world of Jazz; he considered himself their admirer, never their equal. The anthology includes a lengthy essay by Paul Sexton charting Charlie Watt's career as a jazzman and the key albums covered by the collection.
