Queer country-rock from the southern United States. Charles Brown, a high school folk singer, teamed up with Sleepy Creek, a regional rural rock band, which led to an unrequited love story between two members of the band and the melancholic title track of this album. This album of 15 songs brings together the solo and group works of Charles Brown from 1976 to 1982, and the accompanying essay by Jon Freeman dissects the origin story of this pioneer of limited pressings.
