Description

One of the best Brazilian jazz-funk fusion albums ever recorded; fully deserving of its cult album status. First official reissue outside of Brazil. Cesar Camargo Mariano is a renowned Brazilian jazz pianist, composer, and producer, born in Sao Paulo in the 1940s. He has played and worked with Elis Regina (whom he married), Som Tres, and Sambalanco Trio, and still performs very regularly today. Sao Paulo Brasil allowed them to penetrate the territory of jazz funk/fusion - and to revolutionize it. Solid and precise drum rhythms, complex arrangements, layers of synthesizers, percussion, and numerous sound effects, all the ingredients are in place to tell a story from the very first measure.
