Rhythm has been an obsession for CERRONE. From his first afro-disco-rock band, Kongas, to his collaborations with Nile Rodgers or Earth, Wind & Fire, Afro-American music was the true catalyst of Cerrone’s career. It was therefore no surprise to see him return to his first loves in 2016 with his first EP, “Afro”. Today Cerrone announces the release of “Afro II” on 28/09, a second return to the roots of the French disco master. “African Voodoo” and “Papa Oye”, two new tracks for a new passionate tribute to Africa and its syncopated, spontaneous and original rhythms. A 2018 comeback where Cerrone is doubly in the spotlight: the instrumental version of his anthem “Supernature”, previously unreleased, was used by Gaspard Noé to illustrate a long and memorable scene in his new film “Climax” (released in cinemas on 19/09), and also in the film’s trailers. And it proves once again to be undeniably timeless. With this double news, CERRONE will be very present in promotion in September and October.
