Description

The French harpsichordist Céline Frisch has an extensive discography, including many recordings devoted to Bach, all of them multi-award-winning. Here she presents the Partitas, the famous and abundant collection of 6 suites that Bach composed from 1726 onward — one new partita per year — and which he published as his opus 1: “While exploring the possibilities of each dance in order to push its limits, Bach unfolds an intense expressive palette, from the most unguarded tenderness to the most poignant distress, passing through exuberant joy,” Céline Frisch notes.
