Euporie Tide was created in the wake of collaborative albums with members of Sunburned Hand of the Man (Pewt'r Sessions) and Tortoise (released under the name Chicago Odense Ensemble), which clearly produced a cross-pollination effect on this ensemble. It is rare for a band from the European stoner rock scene to embrace such a wide stylistic spectrum, and twelve years after its initial release, Euporie Tide rightly stands as Causa Sui's major achievement.
