An Overview On Phenomenal Nature

Description

“Nothing ever really disappears,” according to Cassandra Jenkins. “Things just change form.” This is the starting point for this album by the New York artist. Over the past few years, she has seen relationships change, traveled across three continents, wandered through museums and parks, and recorded guided tours of her favorite New York landmarks. Her observations capture the humanity and nature around her, as well as thought patterns, memories, and attempts at presence while dealing with pain and loss. With a singular voice, Jenkins channels these ideas into a particularly gripping and moving ambient folk. A must-listen. The track “Hard Drive” earned her a spot in the Best New Music section of the highly regarded media outlet Pitchfork.
