Formed in 2017, British octet caroline has evolved through improvisation sessions influenced by Midwest emo, Appalachian folk, minimalist classical music, and electro. For their eponymous debut album, the group chose to self-produce, recording between England, France, and Norway with the help of John 'Spud' Murphy on mixing (Lankum / black midi).
