Carminho : Rising star of fado, new icon of Lisbon, the heiress... Her first three albums, Fado, Alma, and Canto have made her an essential artist, internationally recognized. It was during one of her tours in Brazil that she impressed some legends of Brazilian popular music including Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, and Milton Nascimento. And it was following the invitation of Tom Jobim's family that Carminho went to the famous Biscoito Fino studios in Brazil to sing Jobim's repertoire accompanied by the 'Banda Nova', the last group of Tom Jobim with Paulo and Daniel Jobim (son & grandson).
