Carl Dawkins began his career in the mid-1960s in Kingston studios. With "Satisfaction," he created his iconic track, blending Rocksteady and Reggae. A powerful and timeless song, it enjoyed a second life when sampled by Major Lazer for their international hit "Jessica." In the early 1970s, he worked with top Jamaican producers like Lee Perry on several tracks accompanied by Bob Marley and the Wailers, three of which are featured on this album.
