« The common desire was, from the start, to create music inspired by rock but with a grammar of contemporary music, electroacoustic music, inventive music. To keep the precious things we have learned and loved from contemporary music while reinjecting it into a different way of composing, playing, improvising - a more collective and field-based work, writing always in service of a meta-instrument that would be the group - to be, at the moment of performance, tuned to the same modes. But the rock side is also a sound, distorted as desired, the pleasure of metallic textures, the pleasure of amplified structures, insistent pulsations, a spectrum sometimes full as an egg, energy and breadth of sound/gesture. The other side is the millimeter adjustments, the attention to detail, the desire to phrase, an almost obsessive tendency to think in terms of "drama," of managing energies and musical breath. We compose "pieces" - that is to say, multifaceted objects that need to be re-explored each time - with a view to creating a custom repertoire that highlights each person's qualities in service of a universe that we all implicitly defend. »
