Without fear, one can classify "Waiting For The Night" by CANNOCK among the forgotten gems of German rock music. This assessment has also been found online for some years now, especially when it comes to the late phase of krautrock. But the distinctive vocals of Raphaela Ciblis also have a unique quality. The Stuttgart band first appeared in 1974 with a single that is now a sought-after collector’s item. In 1976, they were able to secure a place on the compilation "Rock Offers", where they impressed with their spherical prog rock. In 1980, they signed a recording contract with the new label PEAK, which today offers a whole series of exciting releases. "Waiting For The Night" was produced by Peter Garattoni, the drummer of Eulenspygel, who sadly passed away last year. The LP was mixed by Achim Bosch (Sinner, Octopuss) and distributed at the time by Rockport Records. The second album "Frohe Botschaft" (1982) was more in keeping with the spirit of the times.
