The Final Show, Live At Sydney Opera House - Vinyle Bleu

Description

On October 13, 2023, Camp Cope bowed out with a final sold-out concert in front of an adoring crowd at the Sydney Opera House. Two years later, Run For Cover and Poison City Records immortalize this moment with The Final Show – Live at Sydney Opera House, a testament to the Melbourne band's last live performance. This vinyl edition brings together nine tracks drawn from their entire discography, from their self-titled debut album to How to Socialise & Make Friends (2018), right up to their swan song Running with the Hurricane (2022). It features the rhythmic chemistry between Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and Sarah Thompson, enhanced by Jennifer Aslett's textures and carried by Georgia Maq's unique voice. Julia Jacklin appears on "The Screaming Planet," while Rin McArdle and Courtney Hartmann join the chorus on "Sing Your Heart Out." The concert symbolically concludes with "The Opener," a song written in response to the difficulties of making a mark in a male-dominated music scene. Its recognizable bass line opens an extended version of over ten minutes, shared with friends on stage and an entire audience in chorus. A powerful farewell, transforming words of defiance into a fulfilled prophecy: "see how far we’ve come not listening to you." Blue vinyl edition.
