Despite the concerns that a title that is a bit too "nerdy" might raise, Pomme C is a good album by Calogero, which delves into rock with lyrics finely crafted (sometimes almost too much) by his friend Zazie. The tone of the album is both tender and vibrant, with musical harmonies of great purity allowing the singer's voice to reach a remarkable emotional accuracy at times. Powerful guitar riffs counterbalance, as usual, any overly sensitive aspects of the performance, making the album a beautiful example of balance.
