Rare & Unissued Masters: Volume One (1943-1945) - Vinyle Bleu
Description
This long-awaited release features over a dozen surprising quality unreleased tracks by Bunk Johnson, a flagship artist of the American Music label. Digitization has removed the (often non-musical) obstacles that had prevented their publication seventy years ago. The recording sessions took place in locations as varied as the legendary San Jacinto Hall in 1944, and the homes of Bertha Gonsoulin in San Francisco and George Lewis in New Orleans.
