Take a little dose of Zeppelin, add a bit of Skynyrd or Free and you’ll get a first idea of the big, fat rock of these proud Welshmen. Also citing The Black Crowes, Alice In Chains and even Jack White as other influences, there’s no doubt these guys clearly want to go at it with some seriously greasy guitars. After a first self-produced effort released in 2013, the quartet is back with this “Second Sun” produced by Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, REM, Queens of the Stone Age, Mad Season). Available next May 20 on UDR Music (the label of Motörhead, Saxon & co), this record will satisfy fans of so-called “old school” rock, which yet doesn’t seem to have aged a day.
