This album will be released exactly 65 years to the day after Buddy Guy's arrival in Chicago by train from Baton Rouge, on September 30, 1957. His only possessions were the clothes he was wearing and his guitar. His life was about to change forever, and he was reborn in and through the Blues. The Blues Don't Lie tells the story of a lifelong journey. Reflecting on his work, Buddy states "I promised them all: B.B., Muddy, Sonny Boy, that as long as I live, I will keep the blues alive."
