The young harpist Anneleen Lenaerts, first prize winner of the Lily Laskine competition in 2005, holds the coveted position of principal harpist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Her new recording is dedicated to Nino Rota. A composer known for his masterpieces written for cinema, including The Godfather, La Dolce Vita, Death on the Nile… featured on this album, Nino Rota also composed a magnificent Harp Concerto and a Sonata for Flute and Harp, which are included here. Anneleen Lenaerts, accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic and flutist Emmanuel Pahud, reveals the two facets of Nino Rota's art.
