Brueder Selke (Daniel and Sebastian Selke) and Midori Hirano are two pillars of the Berlin ambient/modern classical scene. Having in common a classical training, they use their instrumental practice (cello, piano) to produce more modern and avant-garde music. As the duo Brueder Selke, the Selke brothers have collaborated with institutions of the classical register such as the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and the Filmorchester Babelsberg. They have also worked as music directors of the Schaffrath Chamber Orchestra and organized their own festival Q3Ambientfest, in which artists such as Laura Cannell, Mabe Fratti/Resina, Jules Reidy, Grand River and Yair Elazar Glotman have participated.For her sound design talents, Midori Hirano is a highly sought-after artist as a composer for film and television. She has also collaborated with musicians such as Hprizm from Anti Pop Consortium and Ilpo Väisänen from Pan Sonic and has remixed artists like Robot Koch and Rival Consoles.
