Bröselmaschine comes from the folk group "Les Autres (in French)," founded in 1966. The name of the group comes from a cannabis grinder and the sound of a motorcycle. The members of the group lived in a commune in Duisburg and were part of the first German rock bands at the end of the 1960s, the first wave of Krautrock. The group disbanded in 1973. "Bröselmaschine" is the group's first album and was released in 1971 on Pilz, which is now reissuing it in a remastered version.
