Distant Call is a collection of the early demos of the songs that will later appear as productions on the albums Haha Sound, Tender Buttons, and The Future Crayon.The album also includes two tracks discovered by James Cargill after the death of Trish Keenan: "Come Back To Me" and "Please Call To Book".
This is his response to the "Let's Write A Song" project launched by Broadcast in 2006, where fans were invited to send lyrics on a postcard, which would then be incorporated into a song.
Distant Call is the last release from the group Broadcast. Distant Call - Collected Demos 2000-2006 is a testament and tribute to Trish Keenan, it is released on September 28, Trish's birthday.
