On April 21 and 22, 1983, Brian May was joined at the Record Plant studio in Los Angeles by his friends Eddie Van Halen (guitar), Alan Gratzer (drums), Phil Chen (bass), and Fred Mandel (keyboards). These 2 days of recording gave birth to a 3-track EP released under the name of Brian May + Friends: Star Fleet Project.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this project, the mini-album has been remastered and is being reissued on CD.
