The jazz pianist and composer Brad Mehldau dedicates his new album "Ride into the Sun" to the work of Elliott Smith. The album includes ten covers of the famous American singer-songwriter and guitarist, four original compositions inspired by his world, and covers of Big Star (Thirteen) and Nick Drake (Sunday). The album brings together Daniel Rossen, Chris Thile, drummer Matt Chamberlain, bassists Felix Moseholm and John Davis, as well as a chamber orchestra conducted by Dan Coleman.
