Boy With Apple, the Swedish shoegaze/noise-pop quartet from Gothenburg, is back with their long-awaited second album, Navigation. After keeping the public waiting since summer 2025 by circulating rumors of a follow-up to their acclaimed debut album, Attachment, Boy With Apple premiered the first single, Feeble, at the Roskilde festival in front of 3,000 people. Building on the dreamy and melodic atmosphere of their first opus and integrating a new guitarist, Navigation sees the band incorporating their shared love for electronic music into their sonic universe. Tracks like Come Down and Simplicity evoke the acid house experiments of Pale Saints. Toxic Glue, a track using one of the band's earliest vocal demos, could have been produced by Slowdive during the Pygmalion era. It is a dreamy, saturated, and rhythmic track. With Navigation, Boy With Apple proves they operate in a category of their own, their only competitor being themselves.
