Description

BORIS always manages to be where you least expect them. With Noise, their first release in three years, the Japanese band stays true to form, demonstrating their ability to push intense and aggressive rock into new territories while synthesizing 20 albums of experimentation. Everything is there, from hypnotic sludge to epic and stormy doom, not to mention shoegaze haze and crust punk flashes. In BORIS's three previous releases on Sargent House—Heavy Rocks, Attention Please, and New Album—the band, as a quartet, considerably broadened its musical scope. The result redefined the band's already iconoclastic sound. However, in early 2013, they decided to return to the original lineup, thus reconstructing the famous equilateral triangle, far from compromising the power of BORIS's music.
