An atypical instrumentation that blends the sounds of blues and Caribbean kaladja, a diverse ensemble rich in melody and groove. The multicultural and multigenerational group Bokanté, singing mainly in Creole, collaborates with the Metropole Orkest for a new album "What Heat". The themes addressed by the group are socio-political, such as the effect of political decisions on everyday life, and in the context of current global events like immigration. Through this record, Bokanté, surrounded by the Metropole Orkest, mixes the roots of blues, African and American music, drawing from many different styles to deliver a multicultural album. The music and some of the melodies were written by League and experimented on stage when he was touring with his other groups.
