Description
Philadelphia-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Body Meat, aka Christopher Taylor, introduces his new EP “Year of the Orc.” These songs are a celebration of himself and other outsiders who are breaking the mold. “The title of the EP is about self-acceptance,” Taylor explains. “I am an orc, I've never been very popular, I don't have a specific aesthetic, genre-wise or otherwise. I’m cool with keeping a low profile and creating and I surround myself with people who feel the same way. It’s me and my orcs taking over!” Written and recorded in his Philadelphia apartment, “Year of the Orc” will be, for many, an introduction to an artist who stretches, reconfigures, and defies genre in a way that plays with atypical rhythmic structure with breathtaking fluidity.
