Description
Bob Dylan's new studio album: Produced under his pseudonym Jack Frost, this new 10-song album is the artist's 36th studio album and once again marks his musical career after the success of his last opus, *Tempest*, released in 2012. Bob Dylan shares his feelings: "It was a real privilege to work on this album. It had been on my mind for a long time, but I never had the courage to rework these songs with a simpler formation of only 5 musicians. That's the feat we accomplished. We knew these songs extremely well. We recorded everything live, in one, or even two takes. No overdubbing, no vocal booth, no headphones, no separately recorded tracks, and for the most part, mixed as they were recorded. For me, these are by no means covers. These songs have already been covered many times, buried in a way. My musicians and I, together, we dug them up to bring them back into the light of day." As Rob Stringer, president of the Columbia label, explains, "There are no strings, no horn sounds, no superfluous choirs, like what you often hear on standard ballad albums. Instead, Bob managed the feat of injecting modernity and life into these songs.
