Description

A brief reminder of the facts: it was in the early 90s that Boards of Canada, driven by the brilliant Scots Marcus Eoin and Michael Sandison, became a true band whose journey would influence many, including Plaid. After being noticed by some heavyweights of cutting-edge electronica (Pan Sonic, Autechre), the group was signed by the British label Warp, which gave them the opportunity to create the excellent Music Has The Right To Children. Their credo? Unique, it consists of mixing children's nursery rhymes with electronic beats. Adorned with intoxicating harmonies from conceptual tinkering, their slightly noisy electronic pop fascinates as much as the worlds constructed by Bristol's Third Eye Foundation, which it sometimes recalls, as evidenced by the enchanting "Gyroscope" and the single "Alpha And Omega," making Geoggaddy the logical follow-up to the previous album. As for their trance side, it gives their ballads the shape of a trip evoked by the fractal images on the cover.
