Mirrors

Description

Blue Öyster Cult’s album Mirrors was released on June 19, 1979. It is the band’s sixth studio album and marks a departure from their darker, heavier sound toward a more polished, radio-friendly production style. The album was produced by Tom Werman, who had previously worked with bands such as Cheap Trick and Ted Nugent. The album features contributions from band members Buck Dharma, Eric Bloom, Allen Lanier, Joe Bouchard, and Albert Bouchard, with lyrics on some tracks co-written by science fiction author Michael Moorcock. Although Mirrors did not achieve the same commercial success as some of the band’s earlier releases, songs like “In Thee” and “The Vigil” remain highlights of their catalog.
