Description

BLUE HAWAII and Arbutus began their adventures at the same time in 2010. A first 8-track EP from the mixed duo was released in May of this year. A fresh but still rough first attempt where saturated synths, vocal harmonies, guitars, and drum machines created dense yet warm music. Ra then returned to Braids while Ag immersed himself in electronic music production in Europe. The duo then decided to get back to work last year on a new album. The production on Untogether is more spacious, even more ethereal. Space and silence take precedence over the density of sounds, creating softer music with more pronounced pop structures.
